of all the days, trust this to be the worst. the laundry was undone, i still have 11 more newspaper articles, a chinese brochure and 4 chinese book reviews for tennager's digest and literature. all these are driving me up the wall. my aunt resigned from her work to go on a vacation and is now back and giving me hell. my mom doesn't even prepare dinner anymore, my allowance had been cut, my grandad passed away, my younger brother is driving me crazy, the older one is overseas, and i still have a hell lot of holiday homework to do, and guess what, i have run out of foolscap paper to do my newspaper article on. isn't my life sad? i wanted my younger brother to accompany me to popular to get some foolscap, and he is also in a bad mood since my mom banned him from using the computer and now i am crying and asking myself why my life is so bad. maybe it's karma. maybe i did not do enough good in my last life to have a happy one this time. maybe my brother was someone who wanted to kill me in the past, but didn't succeed and is now back in my present life to turn me mental. gosh, gosh, gosh!!!!! COME ON PEOPLE, I NEED A BREAK! SINCE WHEN HAS THE DEFINITION OF THE TERM HOLIDAYS CHANGED TO HELL? OH PLEASE, PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK, THAT IS ALL I WANT! FOR THE LAST TIME, I NEED A BREAK!!!!!!!! WHY IS MY FAMILY TREATING ME LIKE THIS? I FEEL LIKE JUMPING OFF THE BUILDING. THIS IS NO BETTER THAN LIVING IF I HAVE A FAMILY LIKE THAT. WHAT'S THE POINT OF LIFE THEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE A FAMILY WHO CARES ABOUT YOU? EVEN IF SOMEONE FROM MY FAMILY READS THIS POST, THEY WILL KNOW WHAT THEIR ATTITUDES ARE LIKE. I HAVE HAD ENOUGH! IT'S ALWAYS FAOURTISM TO BOYS. BE MORE PRACTICAL MOM, THIS IS THE 21ST CENTURY! NOT 1965! GET REAL MAN!
okay, deep breath. i have vented my anger on this blog. that's all for today. i am in no mood to write anymore.

chong wei can really stretch, won't his pants snap?
changing shuttles. lol
indonesia's player delivering a smash
slide! wow! don't fall!
today was the aviva open 2008 finals. matches were totally nice. denmark and indonesia are staying strong. but however, peter gade from denmark aka the tenth seed in order of the badminton world federation ranking (BWF) lost to world number 2 lee chong wei of malaysia. sad, sad, sad, but gade still rocks! i love his style. graceful, swift and light, like he was floating on air and I AM NOT EXAGGERATING but lee is also known for his speed, defense and attack strategies on the court. even world number 1 lin dan had suffered from his speed before. lee is able to fall down while getting a shuttle, but is also fast enough to recover in time for the next shuttle. that is one of his signature moves.
meanwhile, for women's singles, tine ramussen of denmark won, beating zhou mi of hong kong.( frankly, zhou mi looks a little like an elephant, but no offence.)
mixed doubles, nova widianto and liliyana natsir won, rounding up as defending champions world number 1, defeating england's donna kellogg and anthony clark.
women's doubles winners are du jing and yu yang, from china. they beat two candy striper-looking girls from taiwan. if i am not wrong, their names are chien yu chin and cheng wen hsing, world ranking number 5.
winner for mens doubles are malaysia. i don't really think it's considered a win, since it's malaysia vs malaysia. so, i really dunno hos to announce this. heheh

yesterday night at 10 pm, we received a call from the hospital saying that my grandpa was having breathing difficulties. shortly after, he had another heart attack, resulting in two out of three of this arteries being blocked, and doctors were trying to save him, but at 11.30, they told us that they had tried their best and that we were given another half an hour to say last words and take one last look at my grandpa. he was breathing with the help of medical machines and medicine. he passed away at 12.01 am on 7th may 2008. the doctors said that the heart attack was a very brief one, it involved no struggle, so my grandpa passed away peacefully.
during the last half hour, we said our prayers and told him to go peacefully. we were not allowed to cry at the bedside. it was very devastating for me, since i grew up with my grandfather. i really have nothing to say, as i am crying when i typed out this post. currently, we are busy with his funeral matters. as he is a buddhist, it will be held in the buddhist way, so christian family members like me have no say in it.
all i have to say is that, he is the greatest grabdfather anyone could have and i am really grateful for him to be in my life. although the time we spent together was not a very long one, we had lots of happy moments together and i will remember and treasure it always.

whoo, come to think of it, it's been a really long time since i last posted. my apologies guys! i have been really busy lately. badminton trainings are twice a week, and more and more friendly matches are coming up, and recently, my grandfather was hospitalized. he encountered a cardiaz arrest while i was in school, and had to rush to tan tock seng hospital the minute i got home and that was when i found out he was in the ICU.
sigh, when i reached there, visiting hours were already over. me and my brother begged the nurse to let us in, and then we could only stay for 20 minutes the maximum. well, obviously we agreed. yeah, i know i am not supposed to say this, but the ICU was damn cool! each patient has a personalized nurse too, to take care of them for 24 hours! and not to mention, the room was fully air conditioned, with lots of machines and computers. aaaah, and the bed looks super comfortable too! okay, i shall stop here or i will get out of control...:]
there is going to be another friendly on tuesday with some japanese women....i dunno who, but coach said they were real pros and that sec 1s are allowed to participate but we have to drop our names into a box so basically, its like a lucky draw system; whoever's name get picked will be selected to play, so yeah, its pretty cool.
kenneth's birthday was yesterday, so....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KENNETH!
have a great year ahead! good luck for your studies too!
